John William Lieb (February 12, 1860 in Newark, New Jersey - November 1, 1929 in New Rochelle, New York) was a renowned American electrical engineer for the Edison Electric Light Company. Lieb was president of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers from 1904 to 1905. He received the IEEE Edison Medal for "the development and operation of electric central stations for illumination and power."[1]
